The Smith Center is now accepting submissions for the 2026 UTIA International Photo Contest!

Every photo tells a story, and we want to see yours. The Smith Center is on a mission to empower UT faculty, staff, and students to be global change agents, who partner with others to develop and deploy sustainable solutions to the world’s complex, agriculture-related challenges. Part of how we continue carrying out this mission is through our annual International Photo Contest. Through the photos we receive, we can share how those in the UT community are growing global within their fields and carrying that Volunteer spirit all around the world.

We invite currently enrolled students, faculty, and staff to submit photos from your recent international travels. The top fifteen photos will be displayed at our upcoming International Showcase on September 10th, and in the Smith Center Global Gallery on the second floor of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Building for one year. At the International Showcase, attendees will be able to vote on the photos, and the top three winners will be awarded prizes.

Submissions are limited to two per person. The contest will be closed on August 1st.

Submission guidelines:

  • Landscape / horizontal alignment
  • High resolution, recommended minimum 3200x4000px (Top photos will be printed 16×20)
  • Taken within the last three years (2023-present)
  • Photos should demonstrate a global experience you had while traveling (we love to see your smiling faces, but save the selfies for Instagram!)
  • Saved with the file name: last name, first name_location

Please join us at the UTIA International Showcase on Thursday, September 10th from 12:00-2:00 pm to vote on the top photos.

Thank you for participating in this year’s International Photo Contest!

Give it your best shot. Thank you for helping to #GrowGlobal at UTIA!
