About Us

The Smith Center for International Sustainable Agriculture (Smith Center) was launched with the vision of positioning the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture (UTIA) as the go-to organization for global engagement in the agricultural-related sciences among U.S. land grant institutions. The Smith Center supports faculty, staff, and students, as well as international partners, to design and deliver global programs that address poverty, hunger, natural resource management, and social equity issues under the framework of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The Smith Center was an implementing partner for F2F Cambodia from 2020-2023, and is the current implementing partner for ALOFT, the F2F project spanning Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
